BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTION
RURAL/BUSH REGION AND SOUTHEAST REGION
The Nominations Period seeking candidates to run for a seat on the ASEA Health Trust Board of Trustees ended on July 19.
Rural/Bush Region Seat
The incumbent candidate for the Rural/Bush Region, Chelsea Sieh, is unopposed. Therefore, the Board of Trustees has declared this candidate eligible and, therefore elected for another four-year term in keeping with the Health Trust’s Election Policy.
Southeast Region Seat
There were no nominations received for Southeast Region. Therefore, this seat will become vacant when Trustee Jake Lauten’s term ends.
On behalf of the Health Trust membership, the Board congratulates Chelsea on her election to another four-year term and thanks both Chelsea and Jake for their service on the Board of Trustees.
UPDATED “SUMMARY OF BENEFIT PLAN CHANGES” POSTED

There are important updates to the Plan including coverage for telemedicine through your provider, coverage for COVID-19 related testing and inpatient admissions, and a temporary waiver for non-PPO penalties at Providence Hospital in Anchorage for Plans A, B, and D through June 30, 2021. Beginning July 1, 2021, non-PPO penalties will be applied if you use Providence for services that could have been provided at a PPO facility.
