Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The ASEA Health Trust cares about the health and well-being of our participants, both on and off the job. Therefore, the ASEA Health Trust provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help you and your family members manage personal, family and work issues.

The ASEA Health Trust EAP offers a variety of work and family life support services as well as confidential counseling and information for you and your family regarding a variety of issues:

  • Difficulties at work
  • Stress or depression, grief and loss
  • Family or personal relationship problems
  • Addiction and recovery
  • Child care, parenting and elder care
  • Financial and legal challenges
  • And others

EAP benefits allow up to six free counseling sessions per year plus referrals to community resources, information and other services. In addition to your EAP benefits, the medical plan provides coverage for mental health and chemical dependency services.

EAP benefits include:

  • Confidential counseling: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Child/Elder care assistance: Information and referrals
  • LifeWorks Online: Health, legal, financial and career information online, organized by topic, life events or life stage
  • Self-Assessments: Online quizzes and tools to help you identify ways to improve your well-being
  • Supervisors and managers: Assistance with workplace issues like communication, productivity and performance
